Leeds United fell to defeat at Aston Villa in the Championship’s Friday night fixture.
It was a much-improved display from Paul Heckingbottom’s side amidst talk of an exit for the former Barnsley manager.
Nonetheless, Villa took all three points with a 1-0 victory after Lewis Grabban put the home side ahead moments before the half-hour mark, powering in a header from a Jack Grealish cross.
But the Leeds faithful were less than impressed with the display of their former winger, Robert Snodgrass, who they accused of diving during the game.
The 30-year-old spent four years at Elland Road where he became a popular player for his never say die attitude.
However, it would seem that old feelings die hard in the case of the Scot who scored 41 goals and made 40 assists in 187 appearances for Leeds.
Defeat for the Yorkshire club leaves them in 14th place in the Championship table and despite murmurings of a reentry back into the play offs spots, they have no chance.
In fact, Leeds have the joint-worst point-haul tally in the division since Boxing Day, 12 points, level with Burton Albion in the relegation zone.
Here is a selection of Twitter reactions from Whites supporters in reaction to their former player:
Think your diving crossed a line tonight. You are now just some footballer we used to know.

If you had any respect for us you wouldn't be diving. Disgusted by someone I used to think was a Leeds hero of mine. Dissapointed.
