Leeds fans have urged their club on Twitter to sign Brentford winger Jota this summer after the Spaniard impressed supporters at the London club.

The 25-year-old attacker joined La Liga side Eibar on an 18-month loan deal in January 2016, but he was recalled by Brentford just 11 months later in December.

He then spent the second half of the 2016-17 season lighting up the Championship and he showed his talents in front of goal with a very impressive 12 goals and five assists in just 21 league outings.

Now, the Spanish goal machine is still contracted to Brentford until 2018, but many Leeds supporters on social media have included him in their summer wishlist.

One fan even recalled the attacker’s impressive display when he played the full 90 minutes in Brentford’s 2-0 win over Leeds near the beginning of April.

Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Jota has been at Brentford since 2014 after completing a move from Celta Vigo in the summer of 2014.

He has managed to return 23 goals and eight assists in 74 outings for the team and he is clearly one of the Bees’ key players.

However, with Leeds currently closer to promotion than Brentford, who finished the season three places and 11 points below he may be tempted by a move.

In other Leeds transfer news, the Whites want this 14-goal winger with trio set to depart.
