Leeds fans urge Monk to recall 24-year-old to the starting line-up v Brentford
By Harvey Byrne
Leeds fans on Twitter have called on Garry Monk to recall attacker Kemar Roofe to the starting eleven for Tuesday evening’s clash with Brentford.
The 24-year-old attacker has started just twice for the Whites in their last seven league fixtures.
However, given the club’s recent form which has seen them win just one of their last four league outings alongside Pablo Hernandez’ poor displays many are now keen to see Roofe make his way back into the team.
Fans on social media have looked to include the attacker in their line-ups in the places of one of Hadi Sacko or Hernandez in the buildup to the Griffin Park meeting, while others have simply stated why Roofe should be brought in to start.
Here are a selection of their messages on Twitter:

Think hernandez last 4-6 weeks or so has had a free ride in this team, poor off the ball, would be bringing roofe in for a few games #lufc

Doukara & Roofe aren't great players but they are decent on the ball & good at holding up play. Wingers can always come on later. #lufc

Green, Berardi, Bartley, Pontus (fitness?), Taylor, Bridcutt, Phillips, Vieira, Roofe/Douk, Pedraza, Wood #lufc

I hope to see you start tomorrow always feel we are more dangerous with you in team. Still my favourite player to watch.

Roofe has played in 42 matches in total for Leeds in all competitions this season following his move from League Two side Oxford in the summer.
He has returned three goals and six assists and has played a part in the club’s current fifth placing with a winner against Wolves alongside a starring display against Preston earlier in the season.
He will now be looking to play a further part before the season’s end with just seven matches of the season left.
In other Leeds news, Dean Smith believes this Whites summer addition is doing fantastically well.
