Leeds fans urge Monk to start 24-year-old against Bristol City
By Amir Mir
Leeds take on Bristol City in a Championship clash on Tuesday night at Elland Road – and fans on Twitter want Mo Barrow to start.
The 24-year-old is on loan at the Yorkshire club after making a January move from Premier League outfit Swansea.
He has only played 13 minutes of league football for the Whites since moving as their supporters now want the attacker to start for the midweek encounter.
Garry Monk’s side were beaten during their last game when Cardiff picked up a 2-0 win at the weekend.
It was the second consecutive defeat in the league for the promotion chasers following their defeat against rivals Huddersfield the week before.
Now, fans want Barrow to start as they want to see what the pacy winger can provide to the team.
Another fan echoed those words and stated that he should be in the starting XI against Lee Johnson’s men with fellow winger Hadi Sacko coming on as an impact substitute in the second half.
Furthermore, another supporter believes Monk should change tactic and go 4-4-2 for that match but one fan felt that Sacko should perhaps start ahead of Barrow in that formation.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
At this moment in time, the Whites are sitting fifth in the league table, three points behind fourth-placed Reading and two points ahead of sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday.
A defeat could see the promotion chasing pack close the gap on the Yorkshire club who could find themselves out of the top six in the coming matches if they don’t pick up enough points.
