Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to call on the club to end the reign of Paul Heckingbottom.
United supporters have lost faith with the manager, who was only appointed at the start of February following the sacking of Thomas Christiansen.
Leeds paid £500,000 to release Heckingbottom from his contract at Championship rivals, but have had little dividend on their winter investment.
The Yorkshire giants are bottom of the division’s form table and have accumulated a meagre 10 points from 13 league matches since the former defender was appointed, with just two victories against Bolton Wanderers and Brentford.
Leeds slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Friday night as they once again failed to secure even a point against a top-six club.
There has been a social media frenzy in the last 24 hours from supporters for the United hierarchy to dispense with their third manager since Andrea Radrizzani took sole control last May.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:
Exactly – it’s time you AR for you to gain some respect from the fans. Accept the mistakes, get rid of Orta and Heckingbottom and put forward a proper 2 year plan with realistic targets. Never over promise and under deliver!!!!

When the Heck took over the owner was still talking about promotion. What happened? Worst manager in our history and must go immediately #lufc

#lufc I don’t agree with sacking mangers every season but I didn’t agree with Heck, the stats don’t lie, the body language of players and even PH is terrible, it’s important that he’s sacked we cannot go into next season with this man. Mick mc @andrearadri

I understand that stability is crucial for success.
However, Heckingbottom could be here for 20 years and his win rate wouldn’t get above 20%
Players do not want to play for him.
Who respects a coach who loses most of his games?
For the good of the club#HeckingbottomOut#LUFC

Has Paul Heckingbottom been relieved of his duties at #lufc yet? 2 wins in 19 I believe and a win ratio % worse than majority of his predecessors… Shocking run at Barnsley too before he came to us… #TimeForChange

In other Leeds United news, a 24-year-old is unlikely to play for the club ever again after recent events.
