'Great player', 'Definitely getting on board' - Leeds fans want 26-yr-old signed permanently

By Richard Parks
Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to start a movement for the club to sign Pierre-Michel Lasogga on a permanent deal this summer.
The striker, 26, joined the Yorkshire giants on a season-long loan from Hamburg on deadline day last August and is scheduled to return to his parent club at the end of the current campaign.
But Lasogga admitted in an interview with German newspaper Bild last week that he is happier at Leeds than he was at the Bundesliga club as he opened the door to a permanent transfer to the Championship outfit.
The centre-forward made an instant impression when he scored twice on his Elland Road debut and scored five goals by late October but his fitness and form then suffered and his double against Millwall last month were his first goals in three months.
However, Lasogga scored his eighth league goal of the campaign in Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to Sheffield United as an emphatic header demonstrated what a lethal finisher he can be with the right service.
Leeds fans on social media have now backed the call for the club to turn the player’s loan into a permanent deal.
