Leeds given hope in Harry Wilson chase after Fulham contract update
Leeds have struggled for goals in the Premier League this season as they quicken their pursuit of Harry Wilson.
Having only scored in two of their opening five league games, Leeds continue to prioritise a wide attacker in the January transfer window, sources told Football Insider.
Leeds had seemingly agreed a deal for Fulham’s Wilson on transfer deadline day with the move falling through at the last moment.
Sources told Football Insider that Fulham are considering selling Wilson in January with the Whites the frontrunners.

Wilson in control of Fulham future as Leeds patiently wait
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the Welshman’s future continues to remain uncertain as new contract rumbles on.
The Cottagers haven’t tied the 28-year-old down yet to a long-term deal which opens up an opportunity for the Peacocks to swoop in for him in January.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “I wouldn’t say they’re [Leeds] totally out of the race. Obviously it seems that Fulham are ready to sort of change their stance and try and tie down Wilson to a new contract.
“As you said, he’s had a good start to the season, scored against Brentford last weekend [20 September] as well.
“And Marco Silva came out and admitted that Fulham are ready to discuss a new deal with Wilson.

“I think that would end Leeds’ hopes of landing the Wales international as well. Look, Wilson’s in the box seat here right now, he’s out of contract in the summer.
“He can decide himself if he wants to sign a new deal or if he wants to explore his options on a pre-contract as a free agent as well. So look, it’s a difficult one.”
Creativity lacking for Leeds as Wilson becomes priority target
In the summer, Tottenham’s Manor Solomon snubbed the chance to re-join Leeds due to the allure of Champions League football with Villarreal.
The Israeli enjoyed a productive 2024-25 campaign on loan at Elland Road but didn’t finalise being reunited with the Yorkshire outfit.

This has now turned the pursuit for Wilson even more imperative with the Peacocks lacking in depth in the wide positions.
Willy Gnonto and Daniel James have begun the season in poor form with Noah Okafor just beginning to find his feet in the Premier League.
It is likely that Daniel Farke will return for the Welshman in January to give his side the best chance of staying up in the English top-flight.
