Leeds United have been “found out” and will struggle in the second half of the season, according to Gabriel Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Aston Villa and England striker compared the Whites to Sheffield United who’s form dropped off a cliff after the Premier League re-started in June of last year.
The Whites suffered their third successive defeat across all competitions against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
The Seagulls ran out 1-0 winners over Leeds United at Elland Road as they earned their first Premier League win since the end of November.
Asked by Football Insider for his verdict on Marcelo Bielsa’s methods, Agbonlahor said: “For me, they’ve looked very tired, they look lethargic. They look a bit like they just don’t change the team enough, they don’t rotate the team enough.
“They look tired, they look like they’ve been found out a bit as well.
“Earlier on in the season they were running over teams, outworking them, men flying forward.
“Now clubs know what they’re going to do. We’ve seen it with Sheffield United. Once clubs start to see you play, most teams have played them once already, they’re not going to let it happen again.
“I think Leeds will struggle for the second half of the season.”
Sheffield United lost five of their last 10 Premier League games last season and their rotten run has continued into this campaign.
The Blades are rock bottom of the table having only picked up five points from their first 17 games.
