Leeds United have confirmed that Pierre-Michel Lasogga and his partner have had a baby girl.
There have been worries over Lasogga’s availability ever since he joined the Whites on loan from Hamburg SV in the summer with his wife due to give birth at any minute.
The 25-year-old could have potentially missed the Burton game earlier this month, in which he scored a brace on his debut, due to his personal predicament, but he has been able to star ever since, even with his wife expecting the baby.
On Sunday, Leeds announced on their official Twitter account that the key striker had travelled to Germany to be with his family and jokingly told him to “hurry back” ahead of Tuesday night’s vital crunch match with Cardiff in the Championship.

Lasogga has been in fine form ever since signing for Leeds on transfer deadline day and has emerged as Thomas Christiansen’s No 1 choice striker following Chris Wood’s £15million move to Burnley.
The German powerhouse has scored three goals in five appearances across all competitions, including one on Saturday when he found the net in the 3-2 win over Ipswich.
He will undoubtedly be ready to return to Leeds for the match against Cardiff on Tuesday.
The Whites travel to South Wales in the knowledge that anything but a win could see them fall off their perch at the top of the Championship standings with Wolves also in action.
In other Leeds United news, Pontus Jansson has contradicted Thomas Christiansen’s reasoning as to why he missed the Ipswich game.
