Leeds United are in the hunt to sign midfielder Serhat Tasdemir from National League side AFC Flyde, according to a report.
The Daily Star claims that the Whites have been tracking the 17-year-old following his breakout season in professional football.
It is understood that Stoke and Middlesbrough also have the English teenager on their radar, while Premier League club Leicester City are even planning a bid for him.
Football Insider verdict:
Tasdemir is an exciting talent that has held his own at senior level this campaign in the lower league, scoring four goals and supplying four assists in 27 appearances. The left-winger, who can play on either flank has been a regular in the Flyde side this season and helped them finish seventh in the National League table. It seems highly unlikely that the wide man could make an impact in the first team at Elland Road next season and it would be a huge jump up to the Championship. However, he certainly has time on his side and could be a long-term investment if the Whites do decide to enter a bidding war. Paul Heckingbottom does need to start overseeing some new arrivals this summer and the supporters are desperate to see some fresh faces arrive. The Yorkshire giants will need a number of star players to come into the starting XI if they are to mount a promotion bid next year and some of the reported transfer targets being mentioned are positive.
