Leeds’ Jayden Bogle transfer saga set to explode as Everton twist emerges

Leeds United are facing significant interest in Jayden Bogle as the January transfer window approaches on the horizon.

The right-back has been one of the Whites’ standout performers on their return to the Premier League, and he has started in every single league game in the early part of the season.

Football Insider recently revealed that Leeds are receiving interest in Bogle from Everton, with David Moyes keen to try and strengthen his hand on the right side of his defence.

Daniel Farke and Co. will be extremely reluctant to lose a key player midway through the season, but the situation surrounding the defender’s future may not be as straightforward as it perhaps seemed.

Everton chasing Juanlu Sanchez transfer

Former Manchester United scout Mick Brown recently told Football Insider that Leeds are desperate to keep Bogle in January, but that may not necessarily reflect the player’s stance on the move.

The Toffees are an attractive proposition at the moment, and as a result, it would be no surprise if Bogle is relatively keen to see the links progress in the coming weeks.

However, Leeds could now be boosted by a shock twist, as the Merseysiders have seemingly taken a step towards an alternative right-back target.

Everton were heavily linked with Sevilla star Juanlu Sanchez in the summer, and they have now registered their interest in the 22-year-old once again, according to Estadio Deportivo.

Bayer Leverkusen are also keen on the Spaniard, whose price tag of around £17.5million is expected to decrease as the window wears on.

Sevilla have identified the starlet as a player who could be sold, and that may well make it a much easier deal for Everton to strike than the one for Bogle.

Leeds would have been expecting a fight to keep hold of their star, but if their Premier League rivals end up diverting their attention elsewhere, then they may not have anything to worry about.

Leeds to demand more than £17.5m for Jayden Bogle

Bogle’s importance to Leeds has been clear so far this season, and with that in mind, they would surely demand a significant fee for his signature.

The £17.5m fee for Sanchez would surely be eclipsed by the demands from the 49ers, and that may well tempt Everton in the direction of Sevilla, rather than Elland Road.

The newly-promoted outfit will know that survival is worth more to them than any potential sale, and with that in mind, it would surely take a ridiculous offer for them to accept a sale of Bogle.

Leeds seemingly had little intention of entertaining Everton’s advances anyway, and that will be even less likely now that another option is on the table.
