Leeds loanee delighted as national side move closer to 2018 World Cup

Leeds star Jordan Botaka has revealed his delight on Instagram after DR Congo emphatically saw off Libya 4-0 in their 2018 World Cup qualifier.
The 23-year-old lined up alongside the likes of Yannick Bolasie, Chancel Mbemba and Dieumerci Mbokani, as they began their Group A campaign with a flying start.
Posting on his personal Instagram account, Botaka revealed that he was “happy” with the result, which saw Hull City loanee Mbokani grab a brace.
DR Congo are looking to make just their second World Cup finals appearance, after reaching the 1974 tournament (as Zaire) when they lost all their games and suffered a 9-0 thrashing at the hands of Yugoslavia.
Despite starting for Congo, Botaka is struggling for game time after being loaned to Charlton in the summer. Botaka has made just six appearances for the Addicks, all coming from the substitutes’ bench.

But it’s a different story for his national side, and Botaka is expected to feature for his nation once again as they face a tough trip to Guinea next month.
Botaka has had a disappointing stay in Yorkshire following his move from Dutch outfit Excelsior on deadline day last summer for around £1million.
The attacking winger, who grew up in Holland and represented the country at Under-19 level before opting to play for DR Congo, has made just 14 appearances in all competitions and was sent out on loan despite a promising pre-season.
In other Leeds news, Andy Ritchie has claimed this Leeds signing is better than Pontus Jansson.
