Leeds open talks over signing attacking midfielder - report
By Harry Sykes
Leeds have made an approach for Norwich attacking midfielder Sergi Canos, according to a report.
The Yorkshire Evening Post claim the Championship giants have made contact with the East Anglia club about a deal to take the Spaniard to Elland Road this month.
It is said that Leeds have told their division rivals in talks they they are keen to sign Canos, 19, on loan for the rest of the season rather than commit to a permanent transfer.
But Norwich are open to selling the Spain Under-19 international and have set a £2.5million valuation on him.
The Carrow Road outfit are aware of strong interest in Canos from Brentford, where he spent a successful season on loan in 2015-16.

Leeds are aware that they could be outbid by the west London club if they are successful in selling striker Scott Hogan to West Ham for a fee of £12million or beyond.
By contrast, Garry Monk’s side have a limited transfer budget and would not be able to compete with Brentford if they use a significant portion of the Hogan proceeds to land Canos.
The winger has not made the impact he would have hoped for at Championship outfit Norwich after signing last summer and committing to a four-year contract with the option for a fifth year.
He has made just three league appearances and has not appeared in the competition since October after failing to gain the trust of manager Alex Neil.
But the former Liverpool and Barcelona teenager demonstrated his calibre during a hugely successful loan spell at Brentford, where he scored seven goals and provided five assists in 39 matches.
Sky Sports report that the right winger is open to a transfer and his preference would be to join Brentford if a deal can be secured between the two Championship clubs.
Leeds are in the market for attacking reinforcements this month, with Garry Monk admitted he “definitely” wants to sign a striker.
The Yorkshire Evening Post report that Monk wants to make West Ham’s Ashley Fletcher one of two additions this month, with Canos being the other.
In other Leeds transfer news, the club are in advanced talks to sign a Bundesliga assists machine.
