‘Leeds make Max Wober decision as Jaka Bijol links intensify’
Leeds look to have made a decision on the future of defender Max Wober, as Udinese’s Jaka Bijol shows interest in a move to Elland Road.
Bijol has spent the last three seasons in Italy, and is thought to be available for around £17million.
Both Inter and AC Milan are also interested in the centre-back, who has 62 caps for Slovenia, and it seems as if the defender is ready to find a new home.
Speaking to Gianluca Di Marzio (7 June), Bijol said: “It is true that I feel ready for this next step, let’s see if it starts this summer.
“I am grateful to Udinese who have given me so much and I am happy in Udine, but I would like to make the leap.”

Bijol could push Wober out the door
The fact that Leeds are making a move for Bijol is bad news for current defender Max Wober, who could be set to depart Elland Road this summer as a result.
Last season, the 27-year-old only made eight appearances for Daniel Farke’s side, as they were promoted to the Premier League as champions.

Now, the centre-back has dramatically revealed that he is no longer wanted at the Yorkshire-based club, and expects to be sold this summer.
After featuring in Austria’s 2-1 win over Romania, Wober made his feelings known in an interview with Krone, saying: “Leeds has already made it clear to me that they want to sell me, I don’t want to just rot away in England.”

Leeds set for busy summer
Football Insider Verdict
Football Insider revealed last month (7 May) that Leeds have a budget of £150million to spend this summer, as they aim to survive in the Premier League next season.
The Elland Road outfit have already been linked with a wide variety of different options, as they look to revamp their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.
In recent weeks, there have been rumours that Leeds are interested in Finn Azaz, with Sheffield United’s Gustavo Hamer another one who could be making the step up to the Premier League.
Farke is clearly in the market for a creative attacking midfielder, and both Hamer and Azaz impressed last season in the championship for their respective sides.
There has also been talk of a surprise Leeds return for Kalvin Phillips, who left the club back in 2022, with the midfielder expected to depart Manchester City this summer.
