Leeds United boss Andrea Radrizzani has expressed his delight on Twitter after extending midfielder Kalvin Phillips and left-back Tyler Denton’s contracts at Elland Road.
The Whites duo, both 21, posed for a picture with the club owner with their new contracts which Radrizzani shared on his official Twitter account on Friday.
Phillips has penned a new four-year-deal at Elland Road and initially grew through the rankings at the infamous Leeds United academy before making his first-team debut in 2015.
Last season the Englishman made a total of 40 appearances throughout all competitions for United, where he bagged a single goal which was a stunning free-kick against Nottingham Forest at the start of the season.
Denton made just three appearances for Leeds last season but managed to secured a goal in the second round of the EFL Cup against Luton.
The left-back suffered from a knee injury last season and, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, is set to go out on loan this season.
The Leeds owner said he was happy to extend the players’ contracts and congratulated the pair.
