Leeds player ratings v Aston Villa: Powerhouse dominates in 8/10 outing

Leeds United let a one goal lead slip as they had to settle for a point against Aston Villa at Elland Road on Friday.

The Whites took the lead thanks to a Pontus Jansson header, the Swedish international netting from a well delivered Pablo Hernandez corner.

The goal ensured that the home side went into half time 1-0 up, having dominated proceedings in the opening 45 minutes.

However things were to change in the second half, with Steve Bruce’s side coming out of the traps quicker and taking control of the game, with the manager’s substitutions playing a key role.

It was Henri Lansbury, appearing off the bench just after the hour mark, who restored parity for the visitors, hitting a low strike from outside the box to hit the inside of the post and into the back of the net.
