Leeds United had to come from behind to beat Burton Albion 2-1 at the Pirelli Stadium on Boxing Day to continue their fine run of form in recent weeks.
After a bright start in which they dominated the home side, the Whites found themselves behind to a Tom Naylor goal, the Burton man poking home at the near post after a cross from Lucas Akins, although Leeds may have been able to claim that the goalscorer was marginally offside.
However, the second half saw Thomas Christiansen’s men turn the game on its head, Pablo Hernandez netting a sublime free kick before Kemar Roofe netted the winning goal minutes later to secure the three points and complete the double over the home side.
Christiansen and his side came into the match off the back of a 1-0 win over Hull City at Elland Road, while Burton had managed to pick up a 2-1 win away at Reading, which followed on from a narrow 1-0 victory at Bolton Wanderers.
The result means that Leeds have now won four games on the bounce, with their last defeat coming seven games ago to Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.
