Leeds United suffered a major blow in their play off hopes this season after suffering a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Middlesbrough on Friday night.
Ahead of kick off at the Riverside, the Whites sat in 11th, just five points off the top six, and knew that victory over Boro would put themselves level on points with Tony Pulis’ men, who themselves were sitting in eighth.
However, after a opening 30 minutes which was tightly fought between the two sides, Patrick Bamford was on hand to flick home a Stewart Downing cross past Felix Wiedwald and give the home side the lead.
