Leeds player ratings in draw v Norwich: 26-year-old is 8/10
By Matt Farr
Football Insider rates the Leeds players during their 3-3 draw with Norwich in the Championship at Elland Road on Saturday.
Rob Green 7 – Could do little to prevent the three Norwich goals, but made a number of crucial saves to keep his side in contention.
Luke Ayling 6 – Read the danger well. Dealt with the majority calmly and confidently, despite the three goals conceded.
Pontus Jansson 5 – Closed down better in the second-half after a disastrous opening period, but still a weak performance. Threw himself in recklessly to land a yellow card, and a subsequent three-match ban.
Kyle Bartley 6 – Slow start with a few poor touches and misplaced passes. Bundled over the line from a corner to re-discover Leeds’ fighting spirit.
Gaetano Berardi 6 – A few moments of indecision. Produced a number of vital interceptions to reduce the damage.
Eunan O’Kane 8 – Decent on the ball, and passed well. The 26-year-old was the driving force of the midfield and the second-half comeback. Often the source of a Leeds attack.
Ronaldo Vieira 6 – Had a better second-half. Assisted greatly by midfield partner O’Kane, but struggled to exert his usual dominance.
Stuart Dallas 5 – A decent ball for Wood goal, but often lacked in final product. Wasn’t the most effective afternoon for the 26-year-old.
Pablo Hernandez 7 – Superb distribution, which has been lacking from his game of late. Looked dangerous throughout. Missed a decent opportunity from close-range, but scored a stunning free-kick.
Kemar Roofe 6 – Got into decent areas, and linked up well between the midfield and attacker, but had little impact. Like Dallas, final ball a concern.
Chris Wood 6 – Had few opportunities but volleyed home late into the first-half to keep Leeds’ hopes alive.
Subs:
Souleymane Doukara 6 (for Dallas 62)
Alfonso Pedraza 6 (for Ayling 72)
Kalvin Phillips 6 (for O’Kane 82)
