Leeds player ratings v Sheffield Wednesday: Attacker is 4/10

By Dominic Toner

Football Insider rates the Leeds players after their narrow 1-0 home victory against Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.

Rob Green 6 – The goalkeeper was extremely quiet in the first-half, but was much busier in the second period. Managed to save a penalty from Jordan Rhodes with a finger tip save in the corner.

Luke Ayling 6 – The defender gave an assured performance and tried to support the attack when he could.

Kyle Bartley 6 – Another solid display at centre-back and it would be fantastic to sign permanently.

Pontus Jansson 7 – Dealt well with the threat of Jordan Rhodes and very strong in the air.

Gaetano Berardi 7 – The left-back has stepped in very well during Charlie Taylor’s absence through injury and was solid against Wednesday. Grabbed the assist for Chris Wood’s opener with a smart cross.

Liam Bridcutt 6 – The combative midfielder showed some good defensive work during the match, but guilty of trying to overcomplicate his passes

Eunan O’Kane 7 – He looked confident in possession and worked tirelessly for his team-mates.

Hadi Sacko 4 – The pacy winger got into some good position, but really needs to work on his final ball. He wasted several opportunities when he should have passed, should be dropped in their next game.

Pablo Hernandez 5 – The playmaker was quiet by his very high standards and failed to make a majro impact on the match.

Souleymane Doukara 5 – He put a good shift in for his team, but gave away a penalty for a clumsy challenge on Sam Hutchinson.

Chris Wood 8 – The forward continued his remarkable goalscoring form by netting the opener. He managed to get in behind the defence and was extremely calm in front of goal.

Kemar Roofe (for Sacko 71mins) 6

Ronaldo Vieira (for O’Kane 83mins) 6

Stuart Dallas (for Hernandez 86mins) 6
