Leeds set to complete first January signing after being spotted in kit
Leeds United are set to sign teenage defender Leonard Ngenge after a pre-contract agreement was reached.
Daniel Farke is desperate for a new wide forward this month. However, their first signing this January looks to be a player for the future.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post on 14 January, the 18-year-old defender is set to sign from Ikorodu City in Nigeria after emerging as a potential target last year.
Leeds signed a pre-contract agreement with the youngster before his 18th birthday to bring his talents to Elland Road.
Now, it appears the move is about to become official, with Ngenge being spotted in a Leeds kit.

Leonard Ngenge to Leeds set to become official
The article explains that Leeds are set to confirm the signing of Ngenge soon, with an announcement expected in the near future.
This comes after Ngenge posted an image on his Instagram story on 14 January of himself in what appeared to be a Thorp Arch dressing room wearing this season’s Leeds training gear and holding a pair of boots.
Upon joining the Peacocks, it is expected that the defender will join up with the Under-21s squad as he adapts to life in England despite his senior playing time experience in Nigeria.

Leeds have made a habit of targeting plenty of younger players in recent years, and Ngenge appears to be the latest star to continue this trend.
What are Leeds’ plans for the rest of the January window?
Currently, a new wide forward in Leeds’ priority this month.
This has emerged as a priority over a new central midfielder as the Peacocks look to confirm their status in the Premier League for another season.
On top of this, Football Insider recently revealed that Leeds have no intention of letting Joel Piroe go this month.
Despite struggling for game time throughout the 2025-26 campaign, it is believed that the forward still has a part to play at Elland Road this season.
This comes after the attacker put in an excellent display during Leeds’ 3-1 win over Derby County in the third round of the FA Cup.
