Regardless of how the season ends for Leeds, Garry Monk and his side should hold their heads up high and be proud of the work they have done.
The 2016 summer transfer window could prove to be one of the biggest in the club’s recent history, simply because it will dictate their ambitions for the short to medium term.
Whether the Whites are still in the Championship or they have made the long awaited return to the promise land – the Yorkshire outfit will need to spend and show that they mean business.
One player they should target is teenage sensation Tommy Abraham who has been lighting up the Championship with Bristol City.
The 19-year-old is currently on loan from Premier League outfit Chelsea and the London-based club will more than likely send him out on loan once again next term.
Leeds should pounce on this opportunity and sign the proven attacker who has scored an impressive 19 goals for a Bristol City side that is looking to survive relegation.
Furthermore, he could build a lethal partnership with Chris Wood, who has scored 24 goals for his promotion-chasing side.
Wood’s ability to cause havoc in the air, hold up the ball and be a dangerous customer in the box would work well with the quick-footed Abraham.
Not only that, signing up Abraham would add depth and quality to the squad, not forgetting that he would be an upgrade on any other Whites attackers, bar Wood.
In other Leeds news, Harry Redknapp has delivered his verdict on the club’s promotion chances.
