Leeds’ 20-year-old left-back Tyler Denton has been named in the EFL Cup Team of the Round, after his impressive display against Luton Town on Tuesday.
Denton scored the only goal of the game from the edge of the area to throw the Yorkshire giants into the hat for the third round.
The EFL Cup’s Twitter page revealed their Team of the Round, which sees Denton line up with other “stand-out performers” such as Liverpool’s Sadio Mane, Bournemouth’s Marc Wilson and Stoke City’s hat-trick hero Peter Crouch.

Denton made his Leeds debut on Tuesday night as Garry Monk opted to make 11 changes for the game against the League Two side.
Leeds have one of the most fruitful academies in the land, with the likes of Sam Byram, Lewis Cook, Alex Mowatt and Charlie Taylor all progressing from the youth set-up to professional ranks over the past few years.
Leeds now progress to the third round of the cup where they face Championship strugglers Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road on 20 September.
In other Leeds team news, the Yorkshire giants are expected to make 10 changes from the win against Luton for the game against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
