Leeds United ace Largie Ramazani responds to Rangers star after Celtic thrashed

Leeds United winger Largie Ramazani took to social media to congratulate a former teammate on social media after Rangers beat Celtic.

The Gers beat their Old Firm rivals thanks to Goals from Ianis Hagi, Robin Propper and Danilo on Thursday (2 January).

Despite coach Philippe Clement being under pressure before the game, this win puts the side now 11 points behind Brendan Rodgers’ side.

Leeds on the other hand were held 1-1 at Elland Road to Blackburn due to a Danny Batth goal in the 90th minute on Wednesday (1 January).

However, their winger Ramazani, who was on the bench that game, posted a comment to Nico Raskin on Instagram. He commented “SKIPPER!” under his fellow Belgian’s post.

The winger joined Leeds in the summer from La Liga side UD Almeria for an undisclosed fee [BBC Sport], but his momentum has been hampered by injuries since his arrival.

He has scored just four goals this season, though he may benefit from Daniel Farke’s reported plans to bring in a creative midfielder in January to boost their attacking options.

Meanwhile, Rangers will hope their victory over Celtic serves as a turning point in their season.

Despite lingering frustrations among fans over another refereeing decision going against them, the win offers a sense of revenge.

The Scottish League Cup final on 15 December ended in a controversial loss, but with time now passed, Clement’s side must focus on narrowing the 11-point gap to their rivals.
