Leeds United boss Daniel Farke “must start” his most in-form striker for the remainder of the season.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Rangers and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton was adamant that the forwards’ form is “massive” during the final stretch of the season and Farke, 47, should not take any risks.
Leeds fans have debated which of Patrick Bamford, Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph should lead the line for the Whites in the closing games of their promotion-chasing campaign.
Bamford, 30, has often lacked form across his Leeds career but has bagged seven goals in his last 14 league starts.

Meanwhile, Piroe, 24, has been utilised at both centre-forward and attacking midfield this season but has only scored once in his last nine league outings.
Joseph, 20, has not made a single start in the Championship this season but is on red-hot form and many Whites fans have urged Farke to utilise him more after his FA Cup brace against Chelsea in February and his 85th-minute equaliser against Watford last month (29 March).
Hutton wants the “most confident” striker to be named in the starting line-up and claimed only Farke will know who that is.
“I think at this moment in time, you have to go with who’s on form,” he told Football Insider.
“Farke will know as he sees them every day in training and he knows what they’re capable of.
“All the strikers have different skills which would depend on who Farke picks for the upcoming game.
“I think there’s such high pressure going into the last games of the season, so form is massive.
“Who’s the most confident? Who’s the guy who needs just one opportunity to score? They must start.
“The manager will know and it’s up to them to prove him right.”
