Leeds United captain Ethan Ampadu reacts to new signing Jaka Bijol’s post
Leeds United’s new signing Jaka Bijol is settling into life at his new club ahead of the start of pre-season, which has been given the seal of approval by captain Ethan Ampadu.
The Slovenian defender joined Leeds from Serie A side Udinese last month, to bolster Daniel Farke’s defensive options ahead of the club’s Premier League return.
Farke has also acquired Gabriel Gudmundsson, Lukas Nmecha and Sebastiaan Bornauw in this window and wants to add more signings to the squad.
The Whites won the Championship title last season with 100 points ahead of Burnley on goal difference to seal a place in the top flight after two seasons away.

Bijol commitment liked by Ampadu
Bijol will be playing and competing alongside Ampadu next season, who can play in midfield or at centre-back.
The Welshman became captain of the club last summer, succeeding Liam Cooper in the role.
Ampadu liked Bijol’s latest Instagram post which showed the 26-year-old sharing pictures from his wedding day.
Leeds need to add goals to aid defensive additions
Football Insider Verdict
Bijol and Ampadu both look set to play key roles in Leeds’ return to the top flight.
Ampadu may be pushed into midfield upon the arrival of two new centre-backs, whilst Bijol will need to form a strong partnership with Bornauw in defence.

Gudmundsson’s arrival means Farke is focused on securing his defence and ensuring his side have the best foundations to go on and win matches.
Promoted club’s have struggled in recent seasons to keep clean sheets and Farke does not wish to make it easy for Premier League attack’s this time around too.
The German now needs to add goals to his side, with Manor Solomon linked with a return following his excellent season last year helping the club get promotion.
Beto and Rodrigo Muniz have both been linked with a move to Elland Road and both strikers would add much needed firepower to the side.
Reuniting with Manor Solomon would also mean Leeds have the creativity to provide service to the forwards.
With Spurs’ attack now stacked following the arrival of Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Frank may be more inclined to sanction a move.
Leeds though currently look the strongest promoted side and could improve their chances further with just a couple of additions.
