Leeds United news: Kieran Maguire issues triple-your-money Andrea Radrizzani claim after £100m reveal
Andrea Radrizzani will be able to recoup north of £300million when he eventually decides to sell Leeds United.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Italian’s long-term business plan at Elland Road.
In a tweet to a fan on 11 March, the sports media mogul revealed he had invested precisely £100m since he first bought into the club in 2017.
Radrizzani has sold 44 per cent of Leeds to San Franciso 49ers, who have an option for a full takeover by 2024, per The Athletic in December last year.
Maguire cited the recent sale of Newcastle United to the Saudi PIF-led consortium in October to assess how much a full buyout might be worth.
“Provided Leeds are in the Premier League, he will make a profit on that,” he told Football Insider‘s Adam Williams.
“They have a very significant support base and Leeds, as a city, is an attractive destination. It is a big financial hub.
“Potential new owners would feel there are opportunities with regards to the expansion of Elland Road.
“That would further monetise the investment and will be factored into the price if and when he chooses to make an exit from Leeds.
“Newcastle went for £305m. Why can’t Leeds also go for that price?”

The value of a full takeover would be heavily dependent on Leeds ensuring their Premier League status.
The West Yorkshire side are now seven points clear of the relegation zone after two successive victories under new boss Jesse Marsch.
