Kalvin Phillips: ‘You’re talking £100m’ for Leeds United to sell star man after source’s update today – pundit
Alan Hutton has suggested Leeds United could get £100million for Kalvin Phillips this summer amid reported interest from West Ham.
The former Scotland international, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 26-year-old’s price tag should be comparable to the Irons’ demands for Declan Rice.
As reported by The Guardian on Saturday (29 January), West Ham had a £50million offer for Phillips rejected by Leeds.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider today that the club are expecting major offers for Phillips this summer and they are expected to exceed that of West Ham’s.
Hutton admitted any Premier League side would “snap your right hand off” for a midfield duo of Phillips and Rice.
However, he suggested the Irons would have to double their offer to strike a deal.
Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “£50million won’t get him. We’re talking about an international player who’s young and who’s only going to get better.
“What a midfield that would be, Phillips and Rice. That would be a solid foundation for any top team in the Premier League. They’d snap your right hand off for those two players.
“That’s what I’m saying for £50million. You’re talking £100million for Declan Rice to move. He’s alongside the likes of Declan Rice in my opinion, so you’re talking £100m for Phillips as well..
“If you put that into perspective, Leeds are never going to sanction that deal.”
Speaking to Sky Sports, as quoted by the Mirror, back in October 2021, David Moyes suggested clubs had missed out on a “bargain” not signing Rice for £100m last summer.

The Telegraph (17 January) claim the Hammers are still demanding at least a nine-figure price tag ahead of the summer.
Meanwhile, Phillips is contracted at Elland Road until 2024.
