Leeds United expert insists Jesse Marsch to blame after ‘stupid’ development
Jesse Marsch is to blame for the ill-discipline shown by Leeds United in their 0-0 draw with Aston Villa on Sunday (2 October).
That’s according to ex-Whites stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about his former side’s performance.
Leeds were shown three yellow cards during a frantic first half against Villa before Luis Sinisterra saw red in the second half.
Sinisterra was shown a second yellow for stopping Villa from taking a quick free-kick.
Marsch watched the game from the press box after being shown a red card ruing his side’s game against Brentford on 3 September.
Kenny claims Marsch’s lack of discipline has spread to his squad.
“It doesn’t look good, does it?” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“You can’t afford to have keep happening as well because it will cost you eventually. To get a point out of that game against ten men for 40-odd minutes is more or less a good result.
“I know Villa hit the post but I am sure Leeds were looking at three points before that game. You can’t keep getting your players booked and sent off, it will cost them.
“It’s discipline, that’s what these players need and that starts with the manager, for me. It’s a stupid, stupid sending-off.
“You don’t mind people getting booked for a tackle but for that, it’s ill-discipline.”

Leeds sit 12th in the Premier League after winning two of their first seven games.
They are next in action against Crystal Palace on Sunday (9 October).
