Leeds United fans all tell Farke same thing as ‘awful’ Rutter flops v Norwich
Leeds United fans have called for Daniel Farke to drop Georginio Rutter from the starting XI after an “awful” display v Norwich.
Rutter started the Championship playoff semi-final at Carrow Road as a lone number nine, a different role to his usual position behind the striker.
However, the decision from Farke backfired as the two sides stuttered to a frustrating 0-0 draw, with the Frenchman failing to affect the game.
While the end result may play into Leeds’ hands ahead of the second leg at Elland Road, Rutter’s performance will be a cause for concern.
Football Insider revealed (2 April) that, should Leeds fail to achieve promotion, they will be forced to entertain offers for the forward – and with performances like that, that may be on the cards.

Joel Piroe eventually replaced Rutter with 20 minutes left to play, although his Dutch teammate was similarly isolated and struggled.
The forward’s recent performances have not been good enough, as some fans labelled him “shocking”, while one described him as “Sunday league” level amid plenty of calls to drop him.
