Leeds United fans devastated by ‘heartbreaking’ Stuart Dallas news
Leeds United fans are devastated that “club legend” Stuart Dallas has announced his retirement from football.
Dallas, 32, confirmed that he will be hanging up his boots after 14 years in professional football, nine of these at Elland Road, with an emotional farewell message to fans on Wednesday (10 April).
The Northern Irishman suffered a femoral fracture during the Whites’ Premier League clash against Man City back in April 2022 and, despite the efforts of the Leeds medical staff, was unable to return to the pitch.
He joined the Yorkshire giants from Brentford in 2015 and went on to make 267 appearances in all competitions, scoring 28 goals and providing 18 assists.

Many fans will claim Dallas established himself as a club legend during their promotion-achieving campaign in the 2019-20 season, where he started 45 games as Leeds went up as champions under Marcelo Bielsa.
He started every game upon their return to the Premier League, with his highlight coming with a brace in Leeds’ historic victory against title-holders Man City in a 2-1 win at the Etihad.
Since the announcement, Leeds fans have gushed over how much Dallas has done for the club and hailed him for his incredible contributions.
Heartbroken fans have taken to social media to react to the news, and they have urged the current squad to win the Championship “for Stu”.
