Leeds United fans fume over fixture change development – ‘It’s a joke’
Leeds United fans are furious that yet another of their league fixtures has been rescheduled for TV broadcast.
The club announced that their upcoming Elland Road clash against Blackburn Rovers next month (13 April) has been shifted by Sky Sports from 3pm to 12:30pm.
Supporters have had to suffer 23 changes to kick-off times so far this season – the most of any Championship club.
They are furious that the typical 3pm kick-off time has become a rarity this season and the short-notice changes can impact their travel plans and personal lives.
Leeds United fans blast “laughable” fixture change
While it can massively affect match-going supporters to have game times changed with less than a month’s notice, it also reduces the amount of time the squad have to recover from their previous fixture.
Leeds fans have frequently made their fury regarding fixture changes known from the terraces this season through anti-Sky chants.
The broadcaster had reportedly contacted a member of staff at Leeds earlier this season on how they can make peace with the fanbase, but the latest fixture change suggests little has come about from this.
Fans have taken to social media to react to the “madness”.
