Leeds United fans rage at Illan Meslier as new Sky footage analysed

Leeds United fans have raged at Illan Meslier for his role in QPR’s opening goal in the 4-0 loss on Friday (26 April).

The home side took the lead after just eight minutes at Loftus Road as Ilias Chair fired in past Meslier from distance.

The shot did take a deflection off Whites defender Joe Rodon before flying past the goalkeeper and into the bottom corner.

Lucas Andersen then added a second for QPR shortly after, with Lyndon Dykes and Sam Field netting second half goals to secure a huge win.

The Whites have now blown their automatic promotion chances with the loss, with Daniel Farke’s side handing promotion to Leicester City.

On an off night for the West Yorkshire club, Leeds fans have taken to social media to criticise Meslier in particular.
