Leeds United fans rage at Leicester points deduction update

Leeds United fans have been left raging after the latest update on Leicester City’s points deduction for a breach of profit and sustainability rules.

Reports claimed the dispute between Leicester and the Premier League could drag on beyond this year with no swift resolution expected.

This comes after the Foxes won the Championship title last time out as Daniel Farke’s side came third and missed out on promotion via the playoffs.

There had been calls for Leicester’s PSR verdict and possible points deduction to be decided last season, when Leeds would have been a major beneficiary of the decision.

Meanwhile, the Yorkshire club have seen the likes of Archie Gray and Crysencio Summerville sold during the summer transfer window as they struggle to comply with the rules.

Leeds also reportedly came close to breaching the rules after their relegation to the Championship given the stricter limits imposed on clubs in the second tier.

However, players such as Tyler Adams, Luis Sinisterra, Rodrigo and more were sold, allowing them to stay above the allowed loss limit for last year.

Leicester, meanwhile, did not manage to avoid a breach, leaving Leeds fans fuming that their club had to bend over backwards to avoid punishment while their rivals continued to flout the rules.

There is a belief that a large part in Leicester’s promotion came from the fact that they did not make efforts to comply with the rules as Leeds and Southampton did upon their relegation.

After the latest update on their situation, fans have taken to social media to express their frustration and anger both at Leicester and the governing bodies.

In other news, Leeds fans tear into hero – they are seriously unimpressed.
