Leeds United fans tear into Jesse Marsch after ‘outrageous’ Summerville dig
Leeds United fans have mocked former manager Jesse Marsch for his “outrageous” dig at Crysencio Summerville.
Speaking on CBS‘ Call It What You Want podcast, the American boss, who remains clubless since being sacked by the Whites in February last year, claimed Summerville “stunk” during training.
Marsch admitted “a lot” of his former players did not put enough effort in on the training pitch, naming both Kemar Lawrence and Ademola Lookman during his time at New York Red Bulls and RB Leipzig respectively.
Summerville joined Leeds under the tenure of fan-favourite boss Marcelo Bielsa in 2020, but Marsch inherited the attacker when he joined as the Argentine’s replacement in 2022.
Leeds fans have savaged Jesse Marsch for his Crysencio Summerville claim
Summerville made just one Premier League appearance in Marsch’s first campaign but emerged as a crucial player in their relegation-ending season last year.
He bagged four goals and one assist in crucial league results for Leeds before Marsch was sacked, and fans have been left unimpressed with his fresh comments on their star player.
Since relegation, Summerville has become the Whites’ most prolific player under Daniel Farke after bagging 16 goals and nine assists in all competitions.
They have taken to social media to savage the “clown”, and many feel he is not in a position to criticise players considering his failings at Leeds United.
