Leeds United fans were blown away by Archie Gray’s “insane” performance against Chelsea on Wednesday evening (28 February).
Despite Mateo Joseph giving the Whites the lead in the 8th minute and equalising in the 59th, Daniel Farke’s side were eliminated in the fifth round of the FA Cup by the Blues after Conor Gallagher’s 90th-minute winner at Stamford Bridge.
Regardless, supporters were widely happy with Leeds’ performance against the Blues in the 3-2 defeat and were impressed that they could go toe-to-toe with Premier League opposition.
But it was 17-year-old Gray who wowed fans with his exceptional performance – his latest in a string of eye-catching displays since making his senior debut on the opening day of the Championship season.

Gray was incredibly composed on the ball in midfield and managed 93 per cent pass accuracy, one key pass, four successful dribbles and two tackles.
The boyhood Leeds fan also snatched Player of the Match for the losing side and, amid reported interest from elite top-flight sides, his stock continues to rise.
Supporters have taken to social media to react to the “unreal” footage that emerged after the game, and one fan even claimed he is better than Real Madrid’s midfield superstar Jude Bellingham.
