Leeds United issued '100 per cent' Jack Harrison claim by pundit after journalist's transfer update

Leeds United “cannot afford to lose” Jack Harrison and Raphinha in the same transfer window, according to Kevin Campbell.

The former Arsenal and Everton striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, stressed the importance of Jesse March’s side keeping hold of Harrison, 25, this summer.

Newcastle United are one of the clubs interested in the ex-Manchester City winger.

However, according to The Telegraph‘s Luke Edwards (13 June), the Magpies have been put off by Leeds’ £30million valuation of their player.

Harrison has two years remaining on his contract at Elland Road.

Raphinha has also been heavily linked with leaving the Whites this summer, with Barcelona, Liverpool and Arsenal all named as potential suitors.

When asked by Football Insider if Leeds should do everything in their power to keep Harrison at the club, Campbell said: “100 per cent.

“Is it going to be a total reset at Leeds?

“Jack Harrison has done really well in the Premier League. They need to keep him.

“An up and coming team may well be willing to pay good money to get him. Would he want to leave?

“He has done well as has Raphinha. Premier League clubs will look at both and think, ‘I can see him in my team.’ They will test Leeds’ resolve.

“Leeds can’t afford to lose both though.

“I like Harrison. They need to keep him. A lot will depend on the player.”
