Leeds United loan stars: Who will stay and who will leave in summer transfer window
Leeds United are in with a fantastic chance of making an immediate return to the Premier League this season.
The Whites currently sit second in the Championship table, just one point behind league leaders Leicester City.
But regardless of whether they go up or not, Daniel Farke has big decisions to make regarding several Leeds loanees.
Football Insider has analysed the 10 loan players who are currently plying their trade away from Elland Road, speaking to club sources and assessing the future of each star.
Cody Drameh (22)

Farke has made his thoughts very clear on young defender Drameh, who joined Birmingham City on loan for the campaign last summer.
Despite impressing elsewhere in his brief career so far, the 22-year-old has found playing time in white hard to come by, with sources telling Football Insider that he has already played his last game for the club.
Verdict: LEAVES
Rasmus Kristensen (26)
Leeds fans may not look upon Kristensen favourably given his decision to leave Elland Road not long after the club’s relegation from the Premier League.
He could be one of many to make a return to the Whites should they return to the top flight, with the versatile right-back currently on loan at Roma.
Verdict: STAYS
Luke Ayling (32)

Remarkably, there is yet another right-back in Ayling who has been allowed to leave temporarily, having joined Middlesbrough in January.
But in a unique case, the former captain has already said his Elland Road farewells, with the 32-year-old not making a return to Leeds this summer.
Verdict: LEAVES
Diego Llorente (30)
Joining fellow defender Kristensen on loan at Roma, Llorente has been getting plenty of minutes away from West Yorkshire.
He is another player who could return to England if Leeds make it back to the big time, but an exit looks more likely given how he has been away since January 2023.
Verdict: LEAVES
Max Wober (26)

Another first-team man to leave Elland Road after last season’s relegation, Wober is seeing plenty of action in the Bundesliga with Borussia Monchengladbach.
Once the deal expires this summer, an exit is on the cards for the Whites loanee, with sources telling Football Insider that Leeds are ready to accept offers for the defender.
Verdict: LEAVES
Marc Roca (27)
Whites fans may have mixed feelings about the defensive midfield man, who wasn’t exactly a regular on the pitch last season.
The 27-year-old is currently on loan in La Liga with Real Betis, with his parent club ready to listen to offers for him this summer, regardless of their final place in the table, sources have told Football Insider.
Verdict: LEAVES
Sam Greenwood (22)

Greenwood is another player that Farke clearly has his doubts about, with the winger currently on loan at Middlesbrough with Ayling.
The 22-year-old has featured heavily for the Championship club this season, but just five goals from 37 appearances suggests that he won’t cut it at Leeds given their talented attack.
Verdict: LEAVES
Ian Poveda (24)
Poveda is another who has failed to impress Farke, with the 24-year-old sent out on loan to Sheffield Wednesday midway through the campaign.
He has been helping in their Championship relegation fight, with Leeds very unlikely to require his services next season. Sources have told Football Insider that Poveda is another to have played his last game for the Elland Road club.
Verdict: LEAVES
Brenden Aaronson (23)

Aaronson moved onto a new challenge with Union Berlin in Germany last summer, another to complete a temporary exit once relegation was confirmed.
Just two goals from 32 appearances in all competitions won’t exactly fill Farke with confidence, with the manager potentially more than happy to lose the 23-year-old permanently this summer.
Verdict: LEAVES
Jack Harrison (27)
Harrison was one of the fortunate players to retain his Premier League status when the Whites went down, with Everton taking him on board.
The winger has been heavily relied upon by Sean Dyche, and is keen to make his temporary move a permanent one. Sources have told Football Insider that the Whites are ready to accept offers for the winger this summer and the very latest information today is that he is set to quit Elland Road for good this summer.
Verdict: LEAVES
