Leeds United news: Ex-manager worried about Raphinha after what he's just seen
Alex McLeish has insisted Leeds United need to get Raphinha back to form to have any chance of staying in the Premier League this season.
The former Scotland manager, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted the 25-year-old has “lost a wee bit of the mojo” at Elland Road.
Speaking at his press conference on Tuesday (10 May), manager Jesse Marsch confessed Leeds “haven’t got enough” out of the Brazilian in recent games.
The winger came off after an hour against Arsenal, having filled in at wing-back following Luke Ayling’s red card.
McLeish insisted Raphinha has the talent to get Leeds out of the relegation scrap.
Asked if he worries for Leeds heading into the final games, McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I absolutely do.

“Luke Ayling’s suspended, there’s Raphinha playing not in the position he really wants to play.
“That is the type of guy that can get them out of it. The manager has to play him. I know they’ve got some injuries but he has to play the best players available in these coming games.
“Raphinha looks as if he’s lost a wee bit of the mojo at the most crucial time of Leeds’ season.
“I really do think they have to try and somehow get him into the forward areas. You’ve definitely got to play him in his best position.
“I guess the other thing is the quality service into him.”
Raphinha has scored 10 times in 32 Premier League games this season.
However, he has only contributed one goal and one assist in his last 10 appearances.
