Leeds United news: Pundit drops dressing room claim after ‘huge’ development
Leeds United’s dressing room now “believe” they can win the league amid their exceptional form.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Rangers and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton claimed the Whites’ momentum and impressive defensive record has made them confident of a first-place finish in the Championship.
Daniel Farke’s side are on a 12-game unbeaten run in the league and have closed the gap to just three points on league-leaders Leicester City.
What looked like an unassailable gap has been reduced significantly following poor form from the Foxes, who have won just once in their last five games.

Hutton pointed to Leeds’ prolific attackers, including Crysencio Summerville, Daniel James and Patrick Bamford, and claimed the talent on show is capable of nipping Leicester to the title.
“I think the clean sheets are really important,” he told Football Insider.
“They played Stoke and got a 1-0 win then went and won 2-0 against Sheffield Wednesday.
“Looking at the front four too, they should be winning the league in my opinion.
“They’ve closed the gap on Leicester and I have a feeling that the momentum is on their side.
“I can see the confidence in the team and it looks like they think they can win the league.

“The dressing room are starting to believe.
“It was a huge gap at one stage, but now they have a great opportunity.”
