Kieran Maguire salutes 'impressive' Radrizzani after Leeds talks with PSG chief
Andrea Radrizzani is playing the long game in his attempts to bring Leeds United into the European Club Association.
That is the view of finance guru Kieran Maguire, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Whites majority shareholder.
The sports media mogul tweeted on 6 September to reveal he had attended the ECA’s annual summit in Geneva.
Leeds are not yet members of the confederation of Europe’s most powerful clubs.
But Radrizzani is, according to Leeds Live on 7 September, close allies with the new ECA head, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
And Radrizzani may be laying the groundwork to join the confederation once Leeds are more established in the Premier League, claims Maguire.

“It’s a case of Radrizzani being very good at networking,” he told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams.
“He is being slow and steady. Remember, Leeds were in the Championship 18 months ago.
“You may ask, why would the ECA want Leeds? They have been in the Championship for 16 years.
“But all they need is a couple of seasons in Europe and then they’d be a very attractive proposition.
“I think this is a case of building networks and getting to know people. Things will flow from there.
“Radrizzani presents well, he’s very professional, very measured, an impressive speaker.”
The ECA’s meeting in Geneva was the first since April’s failed Super League plot.
The six Premier League members of the Super League cabal have been reinstated to the ECA after they initially resigned en masse.
