Leeds United predicted XI v QPR after Dan James and Joe Rodon updates
Leeds United have the chance to close the gap on league leaders Leicester City when they take on QPR on Friday (26 April).
The Whites travel to London for their penultimate match of the Championship campaign, with Loftus Road hosting the clash.
Daniel Farke’s side are currently second in the table after beating Middlesbrough 4-3 on Monday (22 April), four points behind the Foxes.
Following the latest injury updates on Daniel James, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk and Connor Roberts, Football Insider predicts Farke’s next Leeds XI.
Defence
Despite conceding three goals against Boro, Illan Meslier should continue between the sticks, with the goalkeeper still playing a crucial role in that seven-goal thriller with two saves and one punch made.
Sam Byram and Junior Firpo should continue at right-back and left-back respectively, with Ethan Ampadu once again getting the nod at centre-back.
And he should be joined by his Wales international teammate Rodon, with the Yorkshire Evening Post reporting on Tuesday (23 April) that Farke issued an optimistic outlook on the defender after he picked up a knock to his calf on Teesside.
The publication added that fellow defenders Struijk and Roberts remain sidelined with injuries.
Midfield
Farke may decide to mix things up in midfield in order to keep his players fresh, but at the same time he could go strong once more with Archie Gray and Ilia Gruev. It remains to be seen, however, exactly what formation the manager will choose at Loftus Road.
Attack
Despite the busy schedule, the man in the dugout could opt for the same attacking lineup, with Crysencio Summerville, Georginio Rutter and Wilfried Gnonto all potentially keeping their places for the trip to QPR.
The YEP noted that Farke will be without James, who suffered an oblique abdominal tear against Middlesbrough.
But given the recent form of Gnonto, James may have had to settle for a role on the bench once more even if fit, with the former having scored against Boro, as well as making five tackles and registering one key pass.

Ahead of them, Joel Piroe may have to look on from the dugout once more, with Patrick Bamford set to keep his place after his goal last time out, with the latter also registering two shots on target and helping out defensively with two tackles.
