Leeds United star Joe Rodon to be thrilled after what manager just said away from Elland Road

Joe Rodon has quickly become one of Daniel Farke’s most dependable players as Leeds United attempt to secure Premier League safety.

Leeds’ last victory came against West Ham, having just been on the wrong end of a 3-0 defeat against Brighton at the weekend, leaving the team four points above the relegation zone after 10 games.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s struggles in front of goal have continued, meaning Rodon and Noah Okafor currently lead the way in terms of goals.

The 28-year-old has already netted more times for the Whites this season than in his two previous campaigns before, and supporters are incredibly impressed by his standards across the board.

Not only has the centre-half been key to the victories that Leeds have claimed this season, but he is also a major player for Craig Bellamy at international level, as Wales strive for World Cup qualification.

He scored his first-ever international goal against Liechtenstein back in June, and within just three international games, he had another, this time coming in a 4-2 loss to Belgium.

While scoring should not be everything for a defender, he could hold the key to surviving the drop straight back down to the Championship this term, and Wales fans could not be happier with him.

There has been a lot of uncertainty for those in the Wales camp recently, however, with Celtic being linked with a move for Bellamy after the shock departure of Brendan Rodgers.

Speaking in a recent press conference, though, Bellamy said: “I couldn’t want anything more than I have at this present moment. That’s where it lies with me.

“Anything else just isn’t on my radar, and it won’t be on my radar. I’m a real proud Welshman,” and while nobody can knock his performances under Rob Page, he has gone from strength to strength under Bellamy.

Leeds fans will also be pretty chuffed to see that no major changes are being made to the player’s current situation, even away from Elland Road, with him being one of the key players.

He was instrumental in the Whites’ promotion to the Premier League last season, and if he can continue his current form, Leeds should have little trouble remaining in the division.
