Kevin Campbell is adamant Leeds United attacker Rodrigo Moreno will start against Everton this weekend after an impressive cameo against Arsenal.
The former Arsenal and Toffees striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs, claimed the 29-year-old is a “real threat” and can help solve the Whites’ troubles in front of goal.
Rodrigo was a second-half substitute in the goalless draw with Arsenal on Sunday having missed the two previous Premier League fixtures as he self-isolated for 14 days.
Leeds recorded back-to-back 4-1 losses in his absence, Marcelo Bielsa’s side now lie 14th in the Premier League table.
The club-record £27million signing is in contention to face Everton on Saturday for what could be his first start since the 3-0 away victory at Aston Villa in October.
When asked by Football Insider if he expected the Spain international to start at Goodison Park, Campbell said:
“Rodrigo had a couple of half chances against Arsenal and one where he hit the bar.
“He is finding his range in a Leeds shirt but he is still adapting to the Premier League.
“He is a real threat, especially with the left-foot like he has got.
“Leeds have struggled to score so I am sure Marcelo Bielsa will be looking to incorporate him in the starting eleven against Everton, that is for sure.”

The striker stepped up his return to full fitness with a 45 minute appearance for the Under-23s on Monday.
Since his arrival from Valencia in August, Rodrigo has made eight appearances and scored once.
