Leeds star gives insight into team morale after defeat to Cardiff
By Russell Edge
Leeds United midfielder Ronaldo Vieira has said that the team’s morale will not be broken after suffering a 3-1 defeat to Cardiff on Tuesday.
Kemar Roofe’s goal was not enough to salvage anything from the match after a brace from Kenneth Zohore and a goal from Junior Hoilett had given the home side a 3-0 lead.
The Whites also saw captain Liam Cooper sent off for a second bookable offence in first half injury time, meaning they had to play out the second half with just 10 men.
However, despite the manner of the defeat, which saw Leeds fall to second in the Championship table, Ronaldo Vieira, who made an appearance as a second half substitute, insists the team will stick together.
Writing on his own personal Twitter account, the 19-year-old prospect said: “We win as a team and lose as a team always, we’re in this all together with our fans!! Thanks for the brilliant support, get home safe MOT”

Despite having broken into the first team last season, Vieira has had to spend much of his time watching from the sidelines under Thomas Christiansen, who arrived at Elland Road over the summer.
He has made just six appearances across all competitions during this campaign, scoring one goal and notching up an assist.
It means that to date the England under-20 international has made 45 appearances for the club, scoring and assisting twice.
In other Leeds United news, Christiansen has made a surprising suggestion after the Cardiff match.
