Leeds United vs Tottenham ref watch: Three decisions Thomas Bramall got wrong
Thomas Frank’s side claimed all three points at Elland Road as Tottenham scored twice to beat Leeds United.
Archie Gray was reunited with Leeds after signing for Spurs two summers ago, but he watched on from the bench as Mathys Tel and Noah Okafor exchanged strikes in the first half on Saturday, 4 October.
Daniel Farke‘s side looked set to continue their sensational form, pushing for a second in front of their home crowd, but Elland Road was instantly silenced as Mohammed Kudus fired past Karl Darlow.
Tottenham were without Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani due to injuries. Yet, the Lilywhites continued to create issues in the final third, which Leeds were unable to deal with.
Nonetheless, despite a rather quiet display from referee Thomas Bramall, he still managed to impact the game for the worse.
Joao Palhinha allowed to vent his frustrations at Thomas Bramall
Joao Palhinha was lucky not to be sent off against Brighton, having argued with Michael Salisbury at the full-time whistle before being dragged away by his manager. There appears to be a theme.
After picking up an early caution for clipping Brenden Aaronson, the defensive midfielder was furious with a decision that went against him, but the referee took no further action against him.
If Frank wants to avoid losing some of his players to dissent, he needs to have words behind the scenes.
Leeds attack pulled back after Anton Stach incident
As Leeds appeared to be well on their way in an attack, having dispossessed Spurs in the midfield, Bramall pulled the play back for a free-kick despite the challenge from Anton Stach being clearly legal.

The entirety of Elland Road let out a huge moan after the decision, especially as Frank’s side had poured forward in search of another goal, but the referee instantly blew his whistle, completely letting them off the hook.
It was yet another frustrating incident in a game which was continuously slowed down by the referee.
Sean Longstaff avoids a cynical yellow card
Sean Longstaff has made an incredible start to life at Leeds, becoming one of their most important players in the centre of midfield, but he was rather fortunate to avoid punishment.
Spurs broke away on the counterattack, with the former Newcastle United man taking it upon himself to bring a halt to the play illegally, but he somehow escaped a yellow card for his challenge.
It would have been his second caution of the Premier League campaign, but he was subbed by Farke for the final 20 minutes at Elland Road, taking him away from the spotlight.
