Leeds United’s number one January signing priority revealed

Leeds United are desperate to bring in a winger during the January transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Daniel Farke is coming under pressure at Elland Road, with his side sitting 16th in the Premier League, just one point clear of the relegation zone.

Before the international break, Leeds lost 3-1 to Nottingham Forest, in what was their fourth defeat in the last five games.

Sources say that the Yorkshire outfit are now looking to address their attacking issues when the window reopens, with a wide forward being their number one priority.

Leeds could revisit summer target

Leeds tried to sign Harry Wilson during the summer before Fulham pulled out of a deal, leaving the newly promoted side high and dry.

The Whites could return for the Welshman in the January window, and are still reportedly interested in bringing him to Elland Road.

Football Insider understands that Fulham want to tie Wilson down to a new contract at Craven Cottage.

However, it remains to be seen if Marco Silva can convince the winger to turn down a move to Leeds once again and stay with the West London club.

Leeds could sack Daniel Farke

Meanwhile, there is a growing feeling that Leeds could sack Farke if they drop into the Premier League bottom three.

That is according to former Man United and Sunderland chief scout Brown, who claims that the Elland Road outfit are determined to stay in the top flight by any means necessary.

Farke could have been sacked by Leeds in the summer amid concerns about his record in the Premier League, but they opted to stick with him.

However, the German could soon be shown the door, as the teams towards the bottom end of the table begin to find some form.
