Leeds United’s stance on sacking Daniel Farke revealed
Leeds are expected to stick with Daniel Farke despite his Norwich City past suggesting he cannot compete in the Premier League.
Sources told Football Insider in May that Farke could have walked away from Leeds prior to the start of the 2025-26 season following speculation over his future.
Yet, Football Insider exclusively revealed on 20 September that Farke snubbed Benfica to stay at Leeds as he demonstrated his desire to stay at the club.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the German will remain with the Peacocks after an above expectations start to life back in the English top-flight.

Leeds board back Farke after Championship exploits
Former Man United and Sunderland chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider on 16 September that Leeds are at risk of relegation if they can’t score goals.
The Whites turned their goal drought around on 20 September by beating fellow strugglers Wolves 3-1 away from home.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast over the ex-Norwich City boss’ future at Elland Road, I explained: “Farke still has the backing of the Leeds board and for me, I think he’ll remain at Leeds for as long as they want him.
“It’ll be the other way around, if anything will start changing his situation, if the club decide to replace Daniel Farke.

“But Farke is a big fans favourite for what he’s done there and winning promotion back to the Premier League and everything else.
“I think they have shown signs of promise that they can compete in the Premier League.”
January transfer window crucial in keeping Leeds out of relegation zone
Despite Dominic Calvert-Lewin scoring his first goal for his new club against the Wanderers, putting the ball in the back of the net remains a major concern.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on 12 September that Leeds are monitoring Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta to improve their conversion rate.

The Yorkshire outfit have scored in just two of their five Premier League matches this season which could see them drift towards the relegation zone.
Attacking reinforcements in the January transfer window will be key to ensuring the Peacocks survive in the Premier League for another campaign.
