Leeds United want to sign another matchwinning forward before the transfer window shuts, Football Insider can reveal.

The Yorkshire giants announced the captures of wingers Helder Costa and Jack Harrison earlier this week among a blizzard of new arrivals that also included centre-back Ben White.

A Leeds source has told Football Insider that manager Marcelo Bielsa has set his sights on adding one more “top quality” player to his attacking ranks who can slot into the first team for next season.

Bielsa wants a gamechanger who play anywhere across the front line, although that is not expected to be Liverpool wide man Ryan Kent. But

Leeds have made a move for the 22-year-old this summer but they were knocked back, and he is more likely to re-sign for Rangers if Liverpool give the green light for him to go out on loan again.

The Yorkshire giants’ hierarchy, led by owner Andrea Radrizzani, chief executive Angus Kinnear and sporting director Victor Orta, carried out Bielsa’s wishes of landing most of the club’s prime targets at the start of their pre-season programme.

United also managed to negotiate the immediate loan-back of Jack Clarke after selling him to Tottenham earlier this week, further increasing the manager’s attacking options for next season.

But Bielsa is keen for another forward capable of stretching Championship defences and scoring and creating goals, and the club are set to work through a list of targets.

In the latest Leeds United news, it can be REVEALED that a £6million-valued Elland Road ace has been given just a few days to find a new club.
