‘Leeds well placed to agree brilliant signing’ amid Jack Grealish claim
Leeds United are “desperate” to keep Tottenham loanee Manor Solomon at the club on a permanent deal at the end of the season.
That is according to former Man United and Tottenham scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that the move should be a “no-brainer” after his success under Daniel Farke.
Keeping their key players at the club is expected to be crucial to the club’s ambitions to remain in the Premier League following their anticipated promotion.
This comes after former Leeds and Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson explained Everton have joined the race to sign Solomon and are prepared to make a move.
The 25-year-old has become a key part of Farke’s side this season, and has scored seven goals and provided seven assists across 28 Championship appearances.
Leeds, meanwhile, are top of the league and eight points clear of the playoff places, edging their way towards promotion to the Premier League.
Brown has explained that the impact of loan players such as Solomon has been key and it is important to keep them at the club for the long-term if possible.

Leeds plan to sign Manor Solomon after successful loan spell
The Israel international has quickly become a fans’ favourite at Elland Road, as there have been continued calls for Leeds to sign him permanently from Tottenham.
Brown, who won promotion to the Premier League as a scout with both Aston Villa and Sunderland and has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment, insisted Leeds will need to invest wisely this summer to stay up.
“You have to be smart with your business going up to the Premier League,” he told Football Insider.
“When I was at Villa, the decision we had to make was along the lines of: ‘We’ve got what we’ve got, we’re not going to be able to attract top players.’
“So we’ve got to invest wisely and make sure the players we do bring in are the right ones.
“We had Tammy Abraham, Axel Tuanzebe from Man United, and Tyrone Mings from Bournemouth all on loan.
“The three of them – alongside Jack Grealish – got us promotion to the Premier League.
“At the end of the season, we took Tuanzebe and Mings back, but Abraham wanted to go back and play for Chelsea, which was fair enough.
“My point is, when these are players who you know can do a job for you and are already a part of the squad, you should do all you can to keep them around.
“I think it’s the same situation with Solomon for Leeds.
“They’ll be desperate to keep him around after the brilliant way he’s played for them this year.
“If Tottenham are willing to let him go, and he wants to go back to Leeds, it’s a no-brainer.”

Daniel Farke planning swoop for Tammy Abraham
As plans are being put in place for their potential promotion to the Premier League, a new striker has emerged at the top of Leeds’ list of priorities.
Brown, who has worked with the striker previously told Football Insider on 4 March that Leeds want to sign Abraham from Roma this summer.
The 27-year-old is no longer part of Roma’s plans for the future, and could be allowed to leave on a cut-price deal come the end of the season.
Both West Ham and Aston Villa wanted to sign Abraham in the summer, but were beaten to the deal as he moved on loan to Milan for the season.
